Throughout the season, we've collected listener questions from our email and compiled them into a single episode- some are serious, some are funny, and some are completely made up by Eric and Matt themselves. UPDATE: The Relentless Grace of God with MaryJane Edwards

In this episode of the Calvary Life Podcast, we've got an update to a story from our very first season- The Relentless Grace of God with MaryJane Edwards. 

When we first aired that interview in June 2019, MaryJane shared her story of coming to faith and her experience as a teen mother giving her child up for adoption. Since that time, there have been a few major updates to her story that we're excited to share with you. 

So join Eric and Matt as they listen to MaryJane's story from the beginning again- how she and her husband Quentin met, the experience of hiding and then revealing her unexpected pregnancy to both her family and to Quentin, and the beauty of now reuniting with her son 21 years later. Experience how Jesus' grace and the blessings of God surpass anything we can imagine for ourselves.

We Value Oneness

Oneness does not mean everyone looks or thinks identically. It also doesn't mean we ignore the value of diversity! So what does it mean?

In the final episode of our Values miniseries, Eric and Matt discuss the value of Oneness. Together, they talk about how the Church benefits from a unity in oneness, how oneness will sometimes require more mature believers to be flexible with younger believers, and even how "oneness" in clothing shows up in Eric's preaching wardrobe!

We Value Dependence

Dependence takes us farther than we could ever go on our own. Though for many of us (in the United States especially), dependence can feel like a negative. But when we're called to be dependent on God, what does that look like? 

In today's episode of the Calvary Life Podcast, Eric and Matt talk about Dependence in their lives and in the lives of believers everywhere. They discuss how to be aware of the ways our nature gets in the way of depending on God, what it looks like to lean on prayer as an act of dependence, and ways they're both learning to be dependent on the Lord in this season. 

We Value Health

Welcome back to the Calvary Life Podcast! After a brief break to allow Eric to recover from some of his injuries, he and Matt are back in the studio talking about Health!

In this week's episode, Eric and Matt discuss what it means to be healthy. You'll hear the story of his accident (the parts he can remember, at least), ways that he's growing in his recovery, and how to intentionally create slowness in your life to allow yourself to rest.

Together, they discuss what it looks like to genuinely practice gratitude, how we should consider the phenomenon of people who do evil looking "blessed", and provide added clarity to what was already shared on Sunday.

We Value Generosity

As followers of God, we are called to be generous. But what exactly does that mean? Does generosity only mean giving money, or are there other ways we can live generous lives?

On this week's episode of the Calvary Life Podcast, Eric and Matt discuss what it means to be generous. They explore the difference between tithes and offerings, share stories from their own lives of generosity, and talk about how we can be generous with not just our money, but our time, attention, and words as well.
